Proud owner of a Baby Browning, Bauer, PSP or PSA-25 pistol that you want repaired, re-finished or transformed into a prized work of art? You’ve come to the right place! No one in the world does it better than us!
We currently offer the following services on a world-wide basis:
Repair Service :
Don’t spend hours fiddling with your pistol just to be frustrated when you can’t get it to work properly. Send it to us and
we’ll repair it over night and have it back in your hands within the week! For $50 plus the cost of new parts and shipping
charges (your choice of overnight or three day delivery by DHL, Fed Ex, UPS or U.S. Priority Mail) we will completely break down,
inspect, clean and repair to working order your prized pistol. After inspection, we’ll call you anywhere in the world
(unless you prefer email) to let you know what work and/or parts are recommended by our own gunsmith to bring your pistol back
to proper working order. Offshore orders take longer to process due to U.S. State Department and Customs paperwork that must be
processed in advance of shipment in both directions. Each country is unique. Offshore customers should email us at:
sales@precisionsmallarms.com for specific instructions before sending us their pistol.
Re-Finish Service :
Is it time to re-blue your tired looking Baby Browning? Or perhaps you want to have your Bauer electro-less nickel plated?
Interested in changing the look of your PSP-25?
Choose among the following finishes:
220 Grit Hot Blue: This was and remains the “standard” finish applied by Fabrique Nationale and by
us from 1931-2009. Please note, we only hot blue pistols that presently reflect some type of blue finish. We have this policy because it
simply is not economic to utilize x-ray fluorescence to determine the chemical composition of the metal parts that make up your pistol
and thus make a determination as to weather your pistol will take a hot blue finish. Chances are if it was once blue it can successfully be
hot blued.
Highly Polished Hot Blue: For those of you who want the look and feel of our Grand
Exhibition No. 1 model, this is the finish for you. Smooth and silky to the touch; it gleams in the light!
Brushed Satin Electro-less Nickel: Fabrique National/Browning offered this finish during
the 1950's-1960's by special factory order only – and customers waited months to get it! We have been offering this very popular
finish since 1995. It provides a strong barrier against corrosion. Electro-less nickel plated pistols show a marked improvement
in "lubricity" - which is to say a reduction in friction between parts. The "action" of an electro-less nickel plated,
semi-automatic pistol is smoother than that of a blued semi-automatic pistol. No doubt about it.
Polished Electro-less Nickel: A polished version of our popular brushed satin nickel
pistol. This is a very handsome finish and almost looks like chrome. While chrome is “nice” connoisseurs prefer nickel.
Just ask the Brits!
"1911": This is an electro-less nickel finish we began offering during 2008 which
everybody seems to like. We glass bead blast all of the curved surfaces (with the exception of the front and back of the pistol
where the receiver and slide meet - which we brush satin. We also brush satin all of the flat surfaces of the receiver and slide,
safety, extractor, transfer bar (aka: dis-connector) and magazine.
Full Micro-Glass Bead Blast: First we polish the receiver and slide. Then we micro-glass
bead blast all external surfaces of the receiver, slide, transfer bar, extractor transfer bar (aka: dis-connector) and magazine.
Not the prettiest look in the world but for those of you who are using your pistols in rugged environments, this finish is one
that really holds up. We also find that this finish is a suitable replacement finish for pistols which depict surface
blotchiness, pitting or corrosion.
Gold Plating: We offer 24 karat yellow and 18 karat rose gold plating. Please ask us
for a quote as pricing for gold plating is subject to the spot price of gold bullion at the time you place your order. Quotes
are good for 7 days.
Parkerizing: We can Parkerize your Baby Browning, PSP or PSA-25 pistol.
The process usually takes about four weeks. Each pistol is a unique work of art undertaken by one of the country’s finest
Parkerizing artists. Call us for a quote.
Engraving Service:
This service is available only to those of you who own a pre-1968 Baby Browning pistol and can both afford the time and money to
transform your unit into a work of art. We can make it happen! Choose a finish among any of our "Fancy" models - from the
Renaissance to the Grand Exhibition No. 1. Call us for a quote. The process usually takes 3 months and is undertaken by the
world's leading Master Engraver of Baby Browning pistols. Sorry we don't provide this service for Bauers, PSP or PSA-25 pistols.
Engine Turning:
Remember the swirled metal dashboard of your best friend's hot rod? We can transform your Baby Browning, PSP or PSA-25 pistol
into an art deco work of art. Consider engine turning just the barrel where it shows through the slide – or cover the receiver,
slide, detail parts and barrel in tight machine swirls! Call us for a quote – and expect to leave your pistol with us for 2-3
months - as this service is done by the world's leading Engine Turning master craftsman with a long waiting list who doesn't
like being rushed!
Unique Grips:
We offer legal African ivory, machined textured silver-nickel grips from Italy, ebony and carbon fiber-filled grips for your
Baby Browning, PSP or PSA-25. Given the precise dimensions of these grips, we do not recommend them for Bauer pistols.
