For my 50th birthday I purchased a 50 year old, 1967 Baby Browning. It’s mint, in the leather zipper case. Bought some 50 grain FMJ and I couldn’t bring myself to shooting this mint, 100% Baby.
I found PSA [Precision Small Arms] and after some research, I decided to purchase a “Baby” I could shoot. I needed a pocket pistol to carry off-duty, when wearing board shorts around the house and local errands.
I chose the matte black, stainless steel, carbon titanium model.
The great people at PSA kept me posted on production times and manufacturing progress. They made sure I was in the loop from my order to its delivery.
Fast forward. I open the box and see a flawless, perfect specimen of a Baby Browning. The PSA “brother” was twice as clean as the original in fit, finish, machining and detail. It’s just beautiful. Now I can’t shoot this one either.... Just kidding. I’ve owned magazine cover custom 1911s and this PSA 25 is simply perfect. I scoured the thing looking for blemishes or scratches and not one ding to be found. Pure perfection!
I ordered a custom leather pocket holster from a company in the UK. This site also has beautiful custom holsters but I opted for the British holster because of economics.
While waiting for my holster to arrive from across the pond, I took the PSA-25 to the Station range and put two boxes of the recommended S&B 50 Gr FMJ. Not one hiccup! She ran like a racehorse! Devoured magazine after magazine. Accuracy from this mini pistol was amazing! At seven yards, I found it simple to place seven quick rounds center mass, all inside a circle the size of a softball. What else could you ask for out of a tiny pocket rocket such as the PSA-25?!?
After my holster arrived, I immediately began the break in process as it was a very tight fit. I constantly worried that all of the metal to rough leather would damage the pistol’s finish. Nope, no rub marks to be found. This finish is extremely durable. It’s worth the wait!
Did I mention machine marks can not be found. Such a clean pistol!
